Synovial chondromatosis of the temporomandibular joint

A case of synovial chondromatosis of the temporomandibular joint in a 48-year-old woman is presented. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging contributed to a clear understanding of the extent of the lesion and were helpful in both surgical treatment planning and follow-up.
